The Gujarat State Government Assembly passed an Act called “Gujarat Professional Educational Medical Colleges or Institutions" to make a special provision for regular admissions in Medical educational courses in Gujarat State and fix the fee in those special colleges or institutions. The Gujarat state government “Admission Committee for Professional Under Graduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC)” to regulate the admissions of professional candidates in the areas of Medical/ Dental/ Aryuveda/ Homeopathy/ Naturopathy degree courses. The process is very strict on the basis of merit of the candidate. The aim of this mission assigned to this Committee is to carry out the counseling process in a fair and transparent manner.
