NIRF Ranking

 A government issued ranking system that sets the standard of private colleges in India.

All of us have pursued education or some of us are pursuing education in some or the other college. As there is a lot of demand and competition in the recent times, the govt has recently come up with a criteria that sets one college apart from another college. This is called NIRF Ranking (National Institute of Ranking Framework) which has been used for the past five years by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) for ranking institutions of various domains across our country, India. NIRF was launched by the Indian Government in 2015.

The main objective of this platform is to encourage the Educational Institutes in India to strive to provide top notch education in our country on par to global colleges across the world. This ranking differentiates one college from another. Higher the ranking, better the standard of the Indian college. This criteria is mainly for private institutions across the country, since the government institutions such as IIT's, NIT's, IISc's, NLU's, AIIMS etc. are already renowed Institutions across the globe who have already carved their niche and are recognized throughout. 

Thus, the NIRF ranking are used to determine the excellence of private institutions. The parameters for differentiation of various colleges throughout include:

1) Teaching, Learning

2) Resources

3) Reasearch outcomes 

4) Graduation outcomes(quality of students produced during placements)

5) Peer to peer learning

An overall of 3,800 Institutions are registered in this ranking framework of India as of this year. These NIRF Rankings are revised every year so that every private college in India maintains their standard throughout the course of running.
