How to create Apaar ID in Digilocker?​


As of now (2024), APAAR ID cannot be directly created through DigiLocker, but here's the correct process and future integration details:

Current Process to Get APAAR ID
  • School-Initiated Registration (Only Method Available)
    • Your school/college will register you for APAAR ID
    • They'll upload your details to the official system
    • You'll receive the ID through your institution (digitally)
  • Consent Process
    • Parents/students must sign a consent form
    • Aadhaar linking is optional but recommended
How to Access APAAR ID in DigiLocker (Once Registered)
  • Log in to DigiLocker
  • Go to "Issued Documents" section
  • Check under "Education Documents" (when integrated)
  • Your APAAR ID document will appear here if registered
